I am certain im ,unknowingly ,drawn into a plot by unknown forces.
Why?
I arrived at work... and I saw....
2 more colleagues with announcements of engagements.
Indian sweets were distributed and photos of their OH shown.
Seriously.
It's probably the wedding season.

This season is designed to drive home the fact that i am not dating/ dont have a BF or even a potential BF/ any scope of a BF.

Pro I wish I could come back to India, I love it and it's always felt like home with my grandparents having lived there. Unfortunately, due to the credit crunch and my boat not being sold yet, there's no hope at present, but as soon as I have the readies I'll be right over xx

Pro Buy the Times of India. There are loads of adverts for families looking for potential husbands or wives for their children. Some of them are really funny (I love the ones that mention they have a successful uncle). Some of say that caste is not an issue and then you read on and understand why not - they're obviously a minger!

aaah , I dont read it that much , i used to read the matrimonials column and that was fun! the way people described their high expectations
I know what you mean.
When thsy say tall, dark and handsome , MBA/MBBS,businessman they mean 5'7 ,dark with spots on face but they want a girl- fairm beautiful and slim( as in flawless).

Ooh yes something like- one sister-married to a successful Doctor from US. so it means i want a perfect gal even though i might has missed seeing myself in the mirror .
Hehe successful uncle( rich uncle in USof A) is another way to stating we have a stupid son but want a good wife for him
