There is this Pompous manager with a team I co -ordinate with.

He went to my boss cribbing yesterday and guess why?

Well we were supposed to be on a conference call and I kinda missed it by 5 minutes so he called and asked me to come over to his building( our office has 2 buildings next to each other) and take the call from his desk.

Well I was not feeling too good and so simply said I'll login over the phone from my desk.

and the @ss has the gall to say

Pompous: PF Dont argue with me ,just come over to my desk and take the call from here! and thats it.

Me: Listen I am not well I will login from my desk.

Him: whats wrong?

Me: the same thing I have been telling you which kept me sick all through last 2 months.

So he goes to my boss and says this

pompous: She doesnt "listen: to me and when I tell her to do something she tells me I am not her boss

My boss: damn right, she reports to me ( weell i cant say he was siding me my boss also has an EGO as big as a Sperm Whale so he feel its his domain to order me)

Then he tells me(my boss)

Boss: Princess this is the first time I heard anyone complain about you and frankly i want you to sort it out. I dont want such cribs to go any higher considering your situation in company is already so delicate.

Me: well I wont listen to him bark orders.

Boss: this man was cribbing you are not working and missing deadlines

Me: * this got me so mad I want to kick the managers balls right off* I did not miss any deadlines. we are working on Priority basis and even the client agrees my timelines are dependent on their work.

* bloody jerk lied to my boss*

Boss: I feel he has a grudge against you and so i want you to sort it.

Me: sure! I dont want to get into any childish fights with anyone

Oh my company has a Security Audit going (by BT) and guess just how stupid they( my company and BT) have become?

Policies in effect for "surprise security Audit"

1. No Camera Phones allowed

( so err can you pay me to get a new one? NO)

2. You cant carry your "company issused Laptop" onto certain areas/floors because BT doesnt allow our Laptops on their network

( Okay... so you all fuckwits If i work on a laptop and I need to work on the floor you have restricted me to work with a laptop and assigned a desktop which doesnt contain all my laptop data err But I still work? even though BT office employees do carry laptops,camera and gadgets?)

and oh all this is just for like a month after BT auditors go back we revert to using it all..

Soo.. there you go just how intellegent and great are these companies?

well I went to boss and said "may I return the laptop?"

Him: err yes . Wait no its a stupid policy and we are trying to find a loophole /reason with BT

Me: so what do i do? the security guards will not let me take my laptop along and I dont have a place to dump it in.

Him: give it a few days and we should be fine

so today I went to my administration department and very sweetly dumped my laptop in their desk .

Makes it a lil weird working on desktop and then going to get my laptop between breaks to work /reply mails etc.

Some times I wonder is my company ever had brains for for that matter BT policies which are do dumb.

Poor people like me can never find this size. I have looked everywhere in Indian stores and the max they have is 32B. This is pure discrimination.

The only store which stocks this size*god bless them* is Marks and Spencer ( and Ann Summers)and buying those in India costs an arm and a leg.

Even Victorias Secret Failed me!

I have spend years and years wearing the wrong size and now I have exactly 2 i bought from M&S.

Each year i bought myself a 34C which basically ment my 2 precious would no be supported and the strap will ride up and I need to then rush to the ladies to adjust before they came off.

Otherwise I got myself a 32C which ment they could hardly contain err them in it and like a cup overflowing.

I walk down the Lingerie section each time I am at a mall admiring lovely bra's only to find they dont come in my size.

I have had folks at victorias secret size me up just to ensure I am not giving a wrong number

Now we feel depressed and outcast because of the fact that they can never wear anything but the plain cotton ones from M&S with no padding.( Trust me at a cold work place Padding is essential)

There were days I have 4 boobs instead of 2 because the Bar was too err small and well anyway.

So stop the idiotic size discrimnation and start manufacturing nice lace,satin ,cotton etc bras for this size.

Mind Boggling

Well Spoke to my friend in HR who told me "off the record" that the company technically cannot ask me to leave but there are some internal politics going on.

So asked if I can resign and finish my notice and she told me that would be fine and no problem and i can get my releiving and experience letter too.

Which sounds good to me.

Also seems my mum spoke to her elder sister and about Bro and how he is behaving.( Mum's sister has known bro since he was a baby and has always known that he is a problem creator as she used to baby sit us)

So she and her son called me and spoke to me for over an hour.

They both reassured me that they are there to help me financially and morally so I should not worry even if I have to leave the job and stay at home for a month.

I told them all my savings have gone into paying for Bro and mum( I paid only because mum was living with bro)

They still reassured me that since Bro is being a jerk and needs to live on his own to realise the value of having a family it's the best thing which could happen to me.

They feel I should resign from work place because my company doesnt really care about me or my health and are piling more pressure by making statements like "look out for options"

They are in a way true.

I have been dumped work of other teams and have no time to finish my own responsibilities and even when I push back they do not budge and knowing that I am the only woman plus that my issue with degree has become known they are not doing anything and if I dont finish that work they will scream at me.

So i end up doing their work at te expense of my time and work and then finish my work too but i know the quality is not the usual 100%.

Over all life is hell at work and I need to get out.

So Cousin who works in the same industry is trying to get me a job and over all their understanding and support has been something I crave from my brother atleast.

PS: boss told me no promotion due to my degree issue

Yes thats what I am now told by the company..

After trying eveything they feel the Senior VP is in no mood to make an exception in my case( there are other exceptions but lets not go there)

So since my degree issue is not completely sorted my boss spoke with me and asked me to start my job Hunt

I only hope they give me like 3 weeks or so till my other offer is worked out and I can leave in peace.

I dont know where to begin.

There are so many problems. Problems that I alone cannot deal with.

Financial issues being the most important becayse each month by the time its even 10th I am left with somewhere near 200 rupees to pay for the remaining days.

I am sick of borrowing money each month. I have close to 20,000 rupees which i need to repay because i have borrowed after I have paid Pune rent and delhi rent and bills and have nothing left to even buy food for myself.

There were days I ate biscuits and bread because that was what my landlady had and i ate it 'cause she offered without knowing that i actually am not eating.

If i had some help from you it would have been different.

I dont know what your expenses are ,i know probably 3000 go into the house misc payments and then 3000 for petrol and then your bills.

But seriously I would have appreciated some financial aid.

Now incase you move to Dar- es- salaam or move mum here i am again left to fend for money here to get a house .

40,000 is what will easily go here to get a place easily and then the other expeses like food.

But the truth is we dont have any financial aid , no rich relative who will donate. To make the house run we need to share equal expeses.

Changing Jobs will get us more money but if we continue the same trend, it will be useless.

I would love to have mum fuss over me because i am heart broken and instead she still tries to sheild you.She always has and always will.

You need to decide if you want to start taking respnsibility and be an active member of the family or continue blaming us for everything which went wrong in your life and drown your sorrows and ignore the only people who are there to support you until its too late.

I have been sick for sometime now and when I was in the US recently it was BAD.

I managed to scrape through with some OTC medicines there.

What was wrong?

Well I couldnt eat anything my digestive system was err off its rocker and will NOT agree with any food I consumed.

Needless to say it was exhausting.

WHew! i cant remember the rest.

The result?

AH well the Haemoblobin is low by .01% but the rest is ALL NORMAL!

So what was wrong with me? I have been suffering this for a few months now on and off..

Doc feels I have suddenly developed Lactose Intolerence because most of my "eposides" occuer after I consumed milk/milk products.

and the Second reason she feels is that I am over stressed and over worked and need of R &R.

Well now.. I cant eat Pizzas,Mexican food or drink milk or consume Ice creams blah blah!

All that US has to offer is food with Cheese in it.. unless I cook or be the weird one asking for a Burrito with no cheese please!

Anyway!

I feel better back here now since diet in India doesnt inlcude much of Dairy products but pulses,grains,beans,vegetables etc.
