I have asked one guy out in my dating life and I was really nervous and bit my nails till i reached the cuticles(uggh)

I asked out a guy when i was 20 years old and never been kissed and my friends dared me to ask this cute barista guy at the local coffeeshop. I asked him out and it was hilarious!

Me:*stammering and beetroot red* Would you like to go for a cup of coffee with me

He: Looks thunderstruck and hands slip off the billing computer

(* realised im in a coffee shop asking a barista guy out for coffee????)

Me: Err not here some other err coffee shop

(Entire line of customer forgot coffee and stare at us)

Him: (goes equally red) sure
(rips off the bill from the machine and writes his number on it)
Me: * takes the paper and goes redder* i'll give you a call
Him: do you know my name?
Me: Yeah only first name
Him: *tells me Full name*
Me: * tells him my full name*
(I Turn around and walk towards the exit)
Me & Girl friends: Standing outside and burst out into nevrous laughter*

Now we did get in touch and everything planned, however he never turned up and i was left sitting . He called later a said he thought it was a joke played by us girls:(

We lost touch and never met again.

basically i have learnt that aasking a guy for coffee is always a disaster for me..

But i dont know why not all guys like being asked?
